CONCLUSION

To conclude, the data is inconclusive because according to the graph titled, “The Effect of Air Quality on the Total Quantity of Dragonflies,” there is no correlation between the PM and the total quantity of dragonflies.  For example, when there was a high PM of 38, the quantity was 0.  However, when there was a low PM of 3, the quantity was still a low of 0 thus illustrating no relationship.  Although, there was a correlation between the effect of temperature on the quantity of dragonflies.  When the temperature was 32.7 degrees Celsius, the quantity of dragonflies was 21.  Vise versa: when the temperature was 22 degrees, the quantity was 3. The humidity data is inconclusive as well because there is no relation between the quantity of dragonflies and the humidity percentage. For instance, according to the graph, the humidity was 70 percent while the quantity of dragonflies is 22.  However, when the humidity was at 22%, there was a quantity of 33 dragonflies showing, again, no relationship.

Further research may focusing on weather patterns, predators and prey more than air quality.  In the future, epicollect and the data sheets could include another section.  This section would ask whether about the community of species nearby that could affect the population of dragonflies in the area.
